Second International Conference on Sustainable Construction Materials and Technologies
June 28 - June 30, 2010, Università Politecnica Della Marche, Ancona, Italy
Sustainable Construction Materials and Technologies
June 28 - June 30, 2010
This second international conference has been planned after the successful First International Conference on Sustainable Construction Materials and Technologies was conducted in Coventry, U.K., on June 11-13, 2007. Over 190 papers from 45 countries were published and presented at the first international conference (A complete listing of abstracts from all three volumes of the proceedings from the 2007 Conference may be found at http://www.coventry.ac.uk/researchnet/d/674.) The conference was attended by government officials, engineers from government and private industry, engineering faculty and students, materials suppliers, and others. While the conference highlighted current practice and research in sustainable construction materials, it also showed that more research and implementation work remains to be done in this area, thus, the second international conference has been planned for 2010 to continue this technology transfer effort.

The 14th ICAAR in 2012
International Conference on Alkali-Aggregate Reaction in Concrete
Even when the 13th ICAAR is away in the near future, it is good to think ahead about its successor in 2012, to be the 14th ICAAR in the conference series.
Organizing a conference of this extent is not a sinecure and requires long-term planning, as well as a substantial investment in expenses and hours of labour.
Therefore, the current organizers would like to encourage potential future organizers to submit an application for the organization of the 14th ICAAR in 2012 in due time. All applications will be treated with discretion.
